Rasgula (Sweet Cheese Balls)

 Ingredients 1/2 lb. The Rich Cow brand Paneer
1 tbsp. Rosewater
1 cup sugar
3 cups water



Instructions 1. To prepare: Let cheese warm to room temperature.
2. Place cheese in small mixing bowl and knead thoroughly. Pinch off small pieces and roll into balls the size of golf balls. Set aside.
3. To prepare the syrup: Use 1 cup sugar to 3 cups water (syrup should be thin). Bring mixture to boil, reduce heat and simmer.
4. Add cheese balls. Let simmer gently in the syrup for 30 minutes. The cheese balls will swell and crack somewhat.
5. Remove from heat, let cool and sprinkle with rosewater.
6. Refrigerate and serve cool.
